Drug and Narcotics Offences
In my field, it is very important to know what I am talking about when I go to court.
That’s why, over the years, I’ve made a point of learning different street slang synonyms for the names of the drugs that are most often encountered in court. This allows me to grasp much more quickly the issues and possible consequences related to a seizure or a police investigation.
For example:
Marijuana, also known as: cannabis, pot, weed, grass, cheeba, hash, cannabis resin, H, lead, joint, splif, blunt, petard
Methamphetamine, also known as: meth, chalk, candy, crank, crystal meth, ice
Amphetamine, also known as: speed, bennies, candy, glass, crystal, crank, dopers, uppers, peanuts
Cocaine, also known as: coke, coco, powder, soft, crack, freebase, rock, snow, charlie, stardust
Heroin, also known as: brown, hero, brown sugar, dope, smack, meumeu, white
Of course, this is not an exhaustive list, since I sometimes also deal with cases involving fentanyl, ketamine, oxycodone, codeine, GHB, MDMA, LSD, magic mushrooms, etc. or other legal but illegally trafficked drugs like Viagra.
In fact, a large part of my cases involve drugs in one way or another and nothing surprises me anymore. So, if you have any questions about the simple possession, production, trafficking or importation of drugs, do not hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to discuss with you.
